It depends on the technology used whether there are restrictions. If the company is subject to an FCC common carrier or broadcast 'radio' license requirement, it is in principle subject to the restrictions described under 9. above. There is, however, an exception for cable television: the relevant section of the Communications Act was declared inapplicable to cable television. (Under circumstances the registration and information requirements of the Foreign Agent Registration Act of 1938 may apply (in connection with political or quasi political activities). There is, however, an exemption for activities or a purely commercial nature.
There are no foreign firms currently operating in this sector
